Cancellation Policy 

​

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!!! PLEASE BOOK CAREFULLY IF YOU SIGN-UP FOR ONE OF OUR HIGHLY DEMANDED CLASSES. 

​

Cancellation Policy applies to ALL workshops and classes.  

 

  • All workshops and classes are non-refundable once booked or registered, regardless of whether you attend or not.  

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the class start time, you may attend THE NEXT workshop (of the same level) at no additional cost.  Make up classes expire within 45 days. 

  • If a workshop is canceled by Rabbit + The Oak, you may attend any future workshop within one year of the purchase date at no additional cost and at your convince. Prior registration is still required. 

  • Full payment is due at the time of registration. 

  • Class schedules will be released one month in advance so check our calendar of events often! The schedule will be published on www.Rabbitandtheoak.com, and Rabbit + The Oak Instagram and Facebook pages. 

  • Spaces are limited and available on a first come first serve basis - registration is required. 

  • Walk-ins cannot be accommodated at this time.

General Workshop Policy

​

Our General Policy applies to ALL workshops and classes hosted by Rabbit + The Oak and workshops and classes hosted with other artisans, businesses or sponsors.  

 

  • All supplies for workshops and classes are provided unless otherwise posted in the workshop description. 

  • Rabbit + The Oak is not responsible for the care and safety of your personal furniture brought to “Paint Your Own Piece” workshops. Please ensure the pieces you bring meet the class requirements. Class requirements can be found in the class or workshop descriptions.  

  • Rabbit + The Oak is not responsible for any damages to clothing, shoes, and other personal items while attending a workshop.  By attending the workshop you understand paint will be used and there is a risk of getting paint on yourself and clothing. Aprons will be provided for you to use during the class, but please dress appropriately in your favorite “painting clothes.” 

  • Rabbit + The Oak is not responsible for the outcomes of your piece.  In these workshops, YOU are the artists and will create your own furniture art. We do not guarantee the satisfaction of your own work.  

  • By attending a workshop you have not commissioned Tracy or Rabbit + The Oak to paint your furniture for you, repair it, or redo it if you are unhappy with the outcome. 

 

Store Space Policy: 

  • Reservations are required. 

  • The space available for Open Studio is limited to the area designate as the “workshop” only. 

  • One guest per time slot unless prior authorization is granted for dual usage. 

  • Studio time is available for purchase in 2 hour increments (11:00AM-1:00PM EST or 2:00PM - 4:00PM EST) or all day access from 11:00AM-4:00PM EST. 

  • Charges are based on usage per hour, and predetermined so extended time is not allowed unless previously discussed, paid for or agree to by Rabbit + The Oak.  

  • Studio time ends promptly at 2:00PM EST and 4:00PM EST, respectively, on each Tuesday of the month unless otherwise indicated.  A maximum of 30 minutes is allotted at the end of each session for cleanup.  

  • Clean up is your responsibility and includes, at a minimum: 

    • All brushes and other equipment used must be cleaned and returned to their respective designed areas;  

    • All paint must be cleaned up and put away;  

    • Your work area must be cleaned and restored to its original condition; 

    • Any trash made must be removed and/or put in the proper location; 

    • Any additional purchases must be made and completed; 

    • A materials usage report must be accurately completed and submitted. 

  • Overtime charges may apply. A 15 minute grace period will be offered on a case by case basis.  If the studio is being used for any reason after 4:15PM EST, usage of the space will be charged at the rate of $10.00 per 15 minute increments.  More than 30 minutes of additional usage will result in a charge equivalent to an additional studio day.

Bring Own Piece Policy

Bring Your Own Piece Policy

Bring Your Own Piece Policies apply to ALL workshops and classes where you bring your own piece to paint or refinish.  

 

  • Furniture does not need to be new or in perfect condition, only clean and undamaged. 

  • Pieces need to be cleaned prior to the class based on the instructions provided. 

  • Pieces need to be in good working condition and not in need of any repairs. 

  • Pieces should not be previously painted or have peeling/damaged finish or top coat. See pictures for clarification.  (Note: Pieces in the photos that look like this CAN be refinished and made new again, they are just not appropriate for this level class.) 

  • You must be able to carry the piece on your own (like a small chair, side table or stool). 

  • Pieces must be small enough to fit in the passenger seat of an average vehicle.  

  • Pieces must be able to pass through a standard door opening measuring: 36" x 80" 

  • If you have questions about the suitability of your furniture, please contact me early enough before attending the class to make appropriate choices. 

  • Furniture should be made of wood - no laminate, plastic or metal. 

  • Minor surface level blemishes such as scratches and gouges may still be noticeable  through the paint.  If you’d like to schedule additional time to prep your piece please plan to attend an Open Studio day prior to your workshop. Open studio days are held on Tuesday’s between 11-4 or by appointment only.  Please call ahead to confirm your attendance.

Open Studio Day Policy

Open Studio Day Policy

Open Studio Day Policies apply to any and all Open Studio Days or personal appointments.  

 

  • Tuesday between 11-4. Please call ahead to confirm your attendance. 

  • The equipment and materials listed below will be available for your usage and are included in the cost to attend an Open Studio day.  Any other materials needed may be purchased a la carte on an as needed basis: 

  • Sander and sand paper 

  • Krud Kutter preferred cleaning solution + scour pads 

  • N-95 face-mask + industrial air purifier 

  • Rubber and/or vinyl gloves 

  • Paint apron 

  • Drinking water 

  • Brushes of various sizes and purposes 

  • Drop clothes to protect the space flooring.  However, be mindful of tracking paint throughout the area.  Any damages incurred due to tracking paint outside of the workshop will result in additional fees equivalent to the cost of clean up, repair and/or replacement of any ruined items i.e. rugs. â€‹â€‹

Sander Power Tools Policy

Sander, Tools & Power Tools Policy

Sander, Tools & Power Tools Policy applies to ALL workshops and classes and to the use of any and all power tools.  

 

  • You agree to use any tools, power tools and sanders at your own risk. 

  • You agree to ask for help when you need it and that you are responsible for knowing when you need assistance.  

  • When using the sander or any other power tool, you agree to assume responsibility for the care and protection of the sander or other power tools while in your use. Any damage related to inappropriate use or mishandling will result in a repair or replacement fee equivalent to the cost of repair or replacement. Depreciation cost will not be considered in the case of replacement. 

  • If you plan on using the sander for an extended period of time, please indicate that when you sign up so I can plan use for others accordingly.  

  • Training on the sander is available prior to use but does not exclude you from being held responsible for the care and protection of it.  

  • Sand paper is included in the cost of the Open Studio fee provided you select “sander usage” on your sign up form so we can plan accordingly.  Additional charges may apply for excessive usage of sandpaper.

Brushes & Equipment Policy

Brushes & Equipment Policy

Brushes & Equipment Policy applies to any and all brushes or other materials used in ALL workshops or classes.  

 

  • You are required to properly clean all brushes and other equipment after using them; cleaning solution will be provided. 

  • Brushes are expected to be returned in the same condition you received them. 

  • Brushes provided are for studio use only. Brushes are available for purchase in the Rabbit + The Oak store.  

  • You may bring your own brushes to workshops or Open Studio days. The brushes provided by Rabbit +The Oak have been chosen based on the preferences of the lead artist, Tracy Sideris, and for sale, but are not required. If you bring your own brushes, you understand that the outcome of your work may be impacted.  â€‹
