Alcohol Ink Art
What is Alcohol Ink art?
Alcohol ink art is essentially "fluid art" on a microscopic, high-speed level. While traditional paint sits on a surface, alcohol ink lives, moves, and reacts - it is unpredictable.
Unlike acrylics or oils where you place a stroke and it stays, alcohol ink follows the path of least resistance as it's blown with air. This creates wispy, ethereal layers that look like smoke, marble, or aerial views of the ocean.
The colors are incredibly deep but also transparent, like stained glass. When you layer them, the light passes through the top layer to the one beneath, creating a 3D depth that standard paint can't replicate.
Because of it's fluid nature, it is physically impossible to create the same pattern twice. That's why I digitalize my original art and turn it into something functional - greeting cards, coasters, journals, etc.
